Support the Iraq Labor Solidarity Tour with donations of frequent flyer miles (or cash)

Donate your frequent flyer miles (or dollars) to support the Iraqi Labor Tour

Between June 4 and June 29, U.S. Labor Against the War will sponsor a tour by two of Iraq's most important labor leaders. Faleh Abood Umara is the General Secretary of the Oil Workers Federation.  Hashmiya Mohsen al Hussein is the President of the Electrical Utility Workers Union, and the first woman to lead a major union in Iraq.  They will appear at events in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Jose, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Berkeley, Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago (including the UFPJ National Assembly), Milwaukee and Atlanta (for the U.S. Social Forum).

USLAW needs your help to make this tour possible.

USLAW is appealing to supporters, members and affiliates to donate frequent flyer miles for the Iraqi delegates’ travel.  As you can imagine, airfare is by far the largest expense incurred in such a tour, and your contribution will greatly reduce that cost.

Please consider making a donation of the equivalent of one (or more) round-trip ticket's worth of frequent flyer miles.  Note that this amount may vary depending upon the frequent flyer program in which you are a member.

Contact Thomas Bacon at [email protected] or 512-524-5170 for more information.

What if you don't have frequent flier miles to donate?

If you don't have miles to donate, consider making a financial contribution to help defray the cost of airline tickets, hotels and other tour expenses.  Donate on-line at the USLAW website or send your contribution payable to USLAW Iraq Labor Solidarity Fund to 1718 M Street, NW, #153, Washington, DC 20036.
